Last few holiday pics

Hi...just thought will post some of the nicest of the scenic pics from the Hols. As usual picked the wrong week to go away. Kids are off now, so its adult only sites or stay at home

                                                      Max needs a haircut again

Salcombe Lifeboat through the brick window.........

                                              Batson Creek Salcombe........nice boat

All the next few pics were taken at a very special little beach near Start Point called Mattiscombe.
Quite a walk down a narrow path. This next pic is apparently a survey ship. I thought it was a trawler initially

Salcombe Lifeboat. Always a soft spot for the crew after being rescued some years ago by its predecessor.
That's another story.

Evening over Beesands. A six mile uphill walk

Starhole Bay, end of the Salcombe estuary.

Start point in the golden hour

Not every day was good..........Salcombe estuary out to sea

Bit of a play with white balance

A few shots of the wildlife

A Slow worm shedding its skin on the pavement outside a pub.............

All my shots are as they came from the camera apart from cropping some of them. I am, I suppose an old fashioned photographer. I love the digital format, but prefer to use the skills learnt many years ago with my old OM-2n

Salcombe Sailing and action pics

Just a few shots from a day in Salcombe at the beginning of the holiday.
Will start with the sailing dinghies and end with some action shots taken from our favourite cliff walk.

Just a small selection of loads I took that day........are you bored yet?
Have a look at these, taken from some distance away

This is something I miss the most as we spent many years messing about in boats at Salcombe.
Will add some more pics tomorrow

Post floods holiday in south Devon

Chris has probably told you that we have just returned from 11 days on Start Bay caravan club site near Torcross in the south Hams. Well here is the first chapter of the many photos we took.

The first bunch of pics is from Start Bay itself. Specifically the walk to the Lighthouse

Bloody hell its a long walk back to the car park

This is South Hallsands.....or rather what is left after it fell into the sea

Tomorrow will add loads of pics of boats in Salcombe Harbour..........much more interesting

Brighton weekend in the Caravan

I thought it was about time that I published some of my recent photos. So here they are.
Last weekend we took the caravan down to Sheepcote Valley Caravan Club site at Brighton. the reason, to see our musician son who lives there, and do a bit of off the wall shopping.

Let me show the site, how good my fixed zoom lens is, and one of the thousands of residents of the site.

These little residents drove Max mad the whole time

Anyway Thursday night I went to the Prince Albert pub in Brighton on the bus and left Chris dog sitting. I went to make a totally surprise entrance at my son David's gig with his latest band Little Remedy. How shocked was he.

Here's a freebie download of one of the tracks from his EP.

(just scroll down the page a bit to find it)

Took Chris to Beachy Head on Friday. guess what, I brought her back as well. Its the first time I have been there, so I took the tripod for some clear shots

As you can see by Chris's dress it wasn't the best day of the weekend.......and got a lot worse later

Saturday was a much better day and went shopping in the North Lanes

A trip down the seafront on the Volks Railway to the Marina

Sunday there was a Mini meet on the sea front......there must have been every one in Europe there

All in all a cracking weekend. Let me know what you think of the Little Remedy download

I will leave you with 2 images. I am not a religious person myself, but everyone to their own.
The first was taken at Beechy head., Zoom in to see the writing on the car......I thought it was the coastguard

The second, well they were I think afro-Caribbean in origin.....any suggestions
